Background

RedLine sold as ready malware with a panel. Buyers paid for a licence and collected logs from their own victims. Thousands of people ran it, which is why the name shows up in so many dumps.

In October 2024 Dutch police, with the FBI, disrupted the infrastructure behind RedLine and the related META stealer. US prosecutors charged a man they named as a developer. Logs stolen before that takedown are still traded. They still work wherever a password was never changed.

Checking for your logins

Search an email, username, company domain, login URL, password, or IP. The index covers logs from every family, RedLine Stealer included. A dump usually does not record which malware wrote it, so a result will not say it was RedLine Stealer.

The steps afterwards are the same either way. Clean the device, then change passwords from a machine that was not infected. What to do.

Other families

  • Lumma Stealer. Often delivered by fake verify-you-are-human pages.
  • Vidar. A long-running Windows stealer, often dropped with other malware.
  • Raccoon Stealer. A cheap Windows stealer. Its alleged operator was arrested in 2022.
  • StealC. A 2023 Windows stealer that copies features from older families.
  • Atomic macOS Stealer. A macOS stealer. It prompts for the user password and opens the Keychain.

Questions

Will a result say it came from RedLine?
No. A dump usually does not record which stealer wrote it. Search still covers RedLine logs in the index.
Are RedLine logs still appearing after the 2024 takedown?
New collection dropped when the panel went down. Older files stay on Telegram and stay in the index.
